First airplane ride

So, Hailey has now had her first airplane ride.....she did AMAZING. We packed the car and headed to Raleigh last Thursday about 1 or so. Our flight was not until 6:40 but I wanted to "show off" Hailey to my coworkers in the Raleigh office. She has not been there since she was 4 weeks old or so. Hailey slept the whole way to Raleigh and then was awake and happy at the office. After we left the office, we grabbed some dinner at Texas Roudhouse and then went to the airport. We got there about 1:45 minutes before our flight. Of course, as soon as we got to the ticket counter to check-in, we were informed that the flight was about 40 minutes delayed. We got our tickets and headed to the the security area. I had pink crocs on Hailey and the security officer made me take them off...I was cracking up inside but I understood. We went to the gate and waited. Hailey was a trooper. We boarded the plan and then we sat on the runway for a bit waiting to take off. Hailey feel asleep right after we took off and slept most of the way. Here is a picture of Hailey on the plane

My mom and dad picked us up at the airport. They were so excited to see Hailey. As always, we ran the whole time we were in New York. Unfortunately, I did not see as many people as I would have liked. We had a bbq at mom and dads on Friday night, then a bbq at Jamie and Brian's on Saturday night. Then on Sunday, we had Rick and Danielle's annual Memorial Day party as well as my Uncle Charlie's 70th birthday party. Then back to NC on Monday.

While we were at Jamie and Brian's on Saturday, Hailey rolled over for the first time. YAY!!!! I put her down for a nap and when I went to check on her she was on her tummy. Below is a picture (not such great quality because I was trying to snap it quick while she was sleeping)

On the way back home, she was just as great traveling, as she was going to New York. We couldn't have asked for more.

Sneak Peak

We had some pictures taken last Friday of Hailey and Makenna Grace (Hailey's 6 week old cousin). Here is a sneak peak of the pictures. I will post some more of the pictures as soon as I see them (hopefully will be this week). Hailey loved that pink hat and we did not make Makenna's hair stand up....it does it on its own.

Mother's Day

This past Sunday was my first Mother's Day and it was wonderful. First, let me start out by saying on Saturday when I got home from running errands there was a package at my front door from 1800 Flowers. I was so curious as to who it was from, so I went right in and opened the box. The card said, "Thank you for being such a great mommy Love Hailey." I was so curious who the flowers were from so I called 1800 flowers but they were so busy that I would have been on hold until now. LOL Well come to find out, my sister and maybe soon to be brother-in-law Brian sent them. They are so sweet. Thanks guys!

So Sunday I woke up and Paul had a cup of Starbucks on the table with a card and flowers (from Hailey of course). Then he cooked me breakfast, it was so sweet.

Our friends, Kim and Tim, who love at the beach (if you are a faithful blog reader you have read me talk about them in previous blogs - they have a little girl named Sydney, who is a month older than Hailey) were in town. We made plans to go to lunch with them at CPW's. It was so great to see them and get the girls together once again. See a picture of the 4 of us (Kim, Sydney, Hailey and I) Also, I have posted pictures of the girls....the first picture they ever took together (Sydney on the right and Hailey on the left) and the picture of them together from Sunday (Hailey on the left and Sydney on the right) so that you can see how much they have grown. It is amazing.

4 month check up

Hailey went to see Dr. Urwin yesterday for her 4 month check up. She weighed 17 lbs 10 ounces and was 26 inches long. She stayed in the 90th - 95th percentile in weight and jumped from the 75th percentile in height to the 90th - 95th percentile. YEAH!! She is growing longer faster than she is growing wider. LOL

She also had another round of shots...poor girl has a cold/cough, teething and she had to go for shots. I must say she was a trooper. I was proactive and gave her tylenol before the appt, in hopes that it would help her pain (and it did). She screamed when the nurse gave her the shot (ofcourse) and for a minute or two after but other than that she was pretty good. She slept thru the night as normal...went to bed at 7:30 and woke up at 5:30. I don't think that we could ask for a better baby.

Also, my nephew turned 5 yesterday so we went to his birthday party on Saturday. It was at the local strawberry patch. We had such a good time picking strawberries and watching the kids enjoy themselves. Here are two cute pictures.
